New Skoda Fabia Facelift

Added: 30 August 2018

A new-look revised Skoda Fabia is heading for our showrooms with deliveries due in September.

The Czech manufacturer has announced prices for their new hatch will start from £12,840 and will boast five trim levels, three engine choices and two variants of body style when it goes on sale.

The starting price will get you the entry level Skoda Fabia S with a 1.0 litre MPI engine, while there will also be an SE, SE L, Monte Carlo and Colour Edition trims with the range-topper being a 1.0 TSI 110 DSG SE L estate coming in at £18,320. The entire line-up has been revised to petrol only so no diesels will be made available.

New Skoda Fabia Spec

Skoda have kitted out the Fabia with an abundance of kit from entry-level so every model will be up to date with the latest tech. All models will be fitted with LED daytime running lights, Front Assist and a multi-functioning trip computer. Stepping up to SE model, you will get additional front fog lights, 15” alloy wheels and an upgraded audio system. Colour Edition trim will receive 16” alloy wheels in white, silver or black. The next model up is the Fabia SE L. Here a satellite navigation is introduced as well as a year’s subscription to Skoda’s online infotainment system, and revised interior lighting. Topping the range is the Monte Carlo which adds some sports styling to the Fabia. A black front spoiler and black roof give the exterior a sporty look, while inside there are black floor mats and a carbon-effect dash to complete the look. The Monte Carlo also gets LED rear lights, a climate control system and electric windows in the back.

New Red Skoda Fabia

New Skoda Fabia Estate

As always, the estate version will see an additional cost attributed to it in comparison to the hatch. This price varies depending on the level of spec you choose but ranges from between £800 and £1,200. The Colour Edition trim is the exception as this model only comes available as a five door hatchback.

Skoda have replaced the outgoing 1.4 litre TDI engine with a series of 1.0 litre three cylinder petrol units. These range in power from 74bhp, 94bhp and up to 108bhp with the top tuned version. The 108bhp engine is the sole model available with a seven-speed DSG gearbox. The Czech manufacturer has also worked tirelessly to ensure that all their new engines are greener and more environmentally friendly than their predecessors.
