New Audi A3 Sportback Gets Q3 Inspired Styling

Added: 28 April 2020

Are you on the hunt for a new sporty and stylish car to call your own? If so, then look no further. The new Audi A3 Sportback has recently been unveiled after much anticipation and a long development phase.

Take time to learn about the new model and what changes have been made compared to the old A3 so you can determine if it’s right for you. It’s sporty, digitized, and fully connected and complete with many new innovations from the previous make and model. You can get your hands on it starting this summer, with prices likely to start from around £24,000.

What You Can Expect

The new Audi A3 Sportback is unlike the previous updated models because of the dramatic styling changes. To give you a better idea, it’s comparable to and inspired by the Audi Q3 SUV. The latest version is complete with a new bumper design, a wider grille, and redesigned headlight clusters. The wheel arches on the A3 are wider than ever before too. Although it’s the same height as the model that’s out there now, it has additional width and length, so it looks more squat.

The Inside

The interior of the new Audi A3 Sportback is unique in that there are no similarities between the current A3 and the new one on the inside. The only feature that you will see the same is the badge on the steering wheel. Traditional dials are gone, and there’s now a screen that’s integrated into the centre console. You’ll notice a new panel for items such as climate control and turning on your hazard lights. For the first time, the seat upholstery consists of recycled PET bottles and stylish contrasting stitching. It’s a comfortable and unique look and feel that will make long road trips and journeys more enjoyable.

Technology Advancements

Compared to the current A3, the new Audi A3 Sportback also has new technology features to highlight. There’s a digital instrument cluster, and the infotainment system can switch between six different driver setups. As the proud owner, you’ll also enjoy the opportunity to use speech to control the voice assistant function so you can remain focused on the road. You can receive notifications regarding vacant parking spaces, nearby traffic jams, and if traffic lights are about to turn green with the new Car-to-X software that provides real-time information. You can expect the technology also to allow you to have a safer driving experience. For example, the new A3 has a pre sense front, swerve assistant, and lane departure warning, which helps to prevent accidents with other drivers.

As a whole, the engine remains relatively unchanged from the current model. However, mild-hybrid technology is part of the petrol engine, which Audi claims will save you on fuel. They are going to be continuously updating the speed and engine performance, and in time, versions with quattro all-wheel-drive will be on the market. It’s standard practice that all A3s that have 148bhp or more get an advanced multi-link rear suspension. Expect Audi to keep innovating and continuing to offer several other attractive and technologically advanced vehicles in the future.
